Production Worker Job Description
Job details of a Production Worker vary a bit depending on the line they are working on, but for the most part consist of the following:
- Standing for long periods of time
- Most movement is with the hands:
- Placing bread, cheese, lettuce, etc.
- Scooping tuna, chicken salad, etc.
- Spreading mayo, tuna, chicken salad, etc.
- Weighing meat
- Making fresh salads
- Lettuce, chicken, veggies, dressing, croutons
- Stacking sandwiches
- Slicing sandwiches, wraps, etc.
- Packaging product
- Labeling product
- Some product is put through MAP machine, one operator
- Product is then stacked on trays but item type and store label
- Attention to detail and quality assurance is vital
- Once line is complete, entire line must be cleaned and sanitized to include:
- Washing and scrubbing of conveyor belts, tables, utensils
- Cleaning/Squeegee of floor around work area
