Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Assist customers with product demos and upselling to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandising and organize stock on shelves and displays
- Stock shelves regularly, ensuring products are available and properly labeled
- Handle cash, process payments accurately, and manage cash handling procedures
- Support supervising staff in daily operations and ensure adherence to store policies
- Use phone etiquette skills to answer inquiries professionally and assist customers remotely when needed
Qualifications
- Prior retail sales or grocery store experience preferred, with a strong focus on customer service
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment
- Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math for transactions and inventory management
- Excellent communication skills and friendly phone etiquette to engage with customers confidently
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks, stocking, and product demos with attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory counts
