Senior ETL Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior ETL Developer with 11 years of experience in data integration, ETL development, data warehousing, and enterprise data solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with ETL tools, SQL, relational databases, data transformation, and large-scale data migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL workflows and data integration solutions.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective ETL processes.
• Develop complex data extraction, transformation, and loading processes from multiple source systems.
• Build data pipelines to support data warehouses, reporting, analytics, and downstream applications.
• Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, cleansing, and reconciliation.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects.
• Monitor ETL jobs and troubleshoot failures, performance issues, and data quality problems.
• Optimize ETL workflows and database processes for improved performance and scalability.
• Work closely with data architects, business analysts, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in data migration and modernization initiatives.
• Implement data quality checks and ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, data mappings, workflows, and operational procedures.
• Support production deployments, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established development and data engineering standards.

Required Skills

• 11 years of experience in ETL/Data Integration development.
• Strong experience with one or more ETL tools such as Informatica, Informatica PowerCenter, IICS/IDMC, SSIS, Talend, or DataStage.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
• Strong understanding of ETL architecture and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with data extraction, transformation, loading, cleansing, and validation.
• Strong knowledge of Dimensional Modeling, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Facts, and Dimensions.
• Experience working with large-volume datasets and complex data integration processes.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills.
• Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting is preferred.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Good understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or similar cloud data technologies.
• Knowledge of Python or PySpark for data processing and automation.
• Experience with real-time or streaming data integration is a plus.
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud migration and legacy ETL modernization projects.

Education

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in enterprise ETL development, SQL, data warehousing, data integration, and performance optimization, along with the ability to work independently on complex data engineering projects and collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.

Salary : $60 - $65
