Job Title: Estimator - R&S Steel, LLC
Pay Rate: $27-37 - based on experience
Department: Office
Location: Rome, NY
Summary: Ideal candidate will have knowledge of the Steel Industry to assist in Project Management and Job Estimating.
Required Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and comprehend structural and architectural drawings
Strong math skills to complete job estimates
Able to perform accurate and quantitative takeoffs for materials
Get accurate estimates from outside vendors and erectors
Experience working in shop fabrication
Work with Project Manager and Field Estimator to refine scope of work
Assist Project Manager throughout job completion
Occasional in-the-field work to take measurements
Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
College degree in related fields is desired. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Math Ability:
Ability to add/subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, use weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
