Description
R&S Solutions is a 3PL pharmaceutical distribution services company in Jackson, TN. We are seeking an EDI Specialist to join our team to create and support an environment where EDI enhances business processes between all trading partners and the company.
Essential Functions
- Interact with new and current clients and trading partners to capture and analyze requirements, mapping specifications and project objectives.
- Gather assigned clients’ data, execute implementation guidelines and requirements within the allocated timeframe, while providing appropriate status updates to the client(s).
- Review, analyze, construct, and modify EDI maps including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
- Setup communications for EDI transmissions - including but not limited to AS2, FTP and SFTP.
- Mapping documents to and from various formats including but not limited to X12.
- Provide on-going training, technical and client support to key accounts.
- Effectively build on current support and services by enhancing the performance of the client services organization.
- Manages multiple project timelines and resources and takes on ownership of EDI priorities and tasks assigned.
- Works independently and collaboratively with other resources to successfully monitor and analyze EDI files for quality, accuracy, adherence to eligibility/plan design (guaranteed issue amounts), and mapping issues.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and resource, providing clear and timely communication of EDI requirements including, but not limited to, file specifications, testing process, AS2, FTP, SFTP requirements, production instructions.
- Proactively monitor and analyze EDI files for quality, accuracy, adherence to eligibility/plan design (guaranteed issue amounts), and mapping issues.
- Maintain EDI status tracking and management reporting.
Qualifications
Technical:
- Proven hands on experience with Applicability Statement 2 (AS2) setups, along with other communication protocols such as File Transfer Protocol (FTP) and Secure FTP.
- Experience with 1EDISource EDI HQ a plus.
- Experience communicating detailed technical and functional specifications.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical, healthcare, warehouse related EDI messages.
- Experience with EDI processing, including creating new and extending EDI documents.
- knowledge of EPCIS XML, SQL, scripting, automation, database support.
- Working knowledge of business concepts and processes (sales order processing, distribution, payables, receivables and purchasing).
- Working knowledge of Windows operating system environments.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing and office environment and routinely engages in hands-on support of IT equipment and peripheral devices. The employee is required to stand, walk, kneel, use hands to manipulate, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
- At least 3 years of monitoring, maintaining, improving, and supporting EDI systems and integrations.
- Occasional domestic travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
- EPCIS/DSCSA serialization working knowledge preferred
