Company Overview
R. Pepin and Sons Inc. is looking for a Class A/B commercial driver to drive and operate a Ready Mix Concrete Truck (automatic transmission). All trucks have front discharge chutes making them easier to operate. We provide training for drivers who do not have experience. Drivers need to have a valid DOT medical card. Drivers will be expected to drive in both ME and NH.
This job is full time and year round with great company benefits including a 401K plan with strong company match (4%), great health insurance plan, and ample vacation time. We pay an hourly wage, with overtime over 40 hrs., and paychecks given weekly. Typical hours are Monday-Friday 6:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.
We work between 50-55/hrs. per week on average. In January and February expect 40-45 hrs./week. Additional opportunities for overtime in the winter are available. Additional opportunities for overtime on Saturdays is always available. Drivers who want to get laid off in the winter or work part time may. We primarily work Monday-Friday (6:30 AM - 4:00 P.M.) and about (2) Saturday mornings per month (6:30 AM - 9:00 AM). We work Saturday mornings from May 1'st- November 1'st and allow drivers to sign up ahead of time for Saturdays on their own schedule.
There is strong opportunity to drive other trucks and equipment over time at Pepin Concrete and Precast including Tri-Axle Dump Trucks (automatic and standard), Trailer Dumps, Precast Concrete Boom Trucks (automatic and standard), Front-End-Loaders, and Excavators. There is also big opportunity to increase pay rate over time.
