Quality Technician – 1st Shift
R&L Spring Company | Lake Geneva, WI
R&L Spring is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support production through inspection, testing, and quality documentation. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing quality experience who enjoys hands-on inspection and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
1st Shift | Monday – Friday: 6 am to 2:30 pm or 7 am to 3:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Conduct component layouts and maintain inspection documentation
- Utilize SPC charting and sampling plans
- Set up and operate inspection/testing equipment
- Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Support internal audits and PPAP documentation
- Create and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, and inspection reports
- Ensure compliance with non-conforming material procedures
- Review finished product to verify conformance to specifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior manufacturing quality/inspection experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and GD&T
- Experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment
- Knowledge of SPC, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Root Cause Analysis preferred
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 / AIAG Core Tools preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
