About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and safety-focused individuals to join our Train Crew, covering key locations in New York and Pennsylvania.
No prior experience is necessary, as we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to teach you a new trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in all aspects of safe daily train operations.
- Operate track switches, couple cars, and work on freight trains in yard operations.
- Maintain and repair rail equipment, ensuring smooth train movement.
- Work on an on-call basis, available 24/7, in various weather conditions.
- Adhere to irregular schedules determined by rotation.
- Be contactable via telephone for assignments and updates.
- Progress to locomotive engineering duties, expanding your skillset.
- Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Pass background, drug screen, and physical capacity test.
- Lift up to 80lbs in the performance of duties.
- Prioritize teamwork and a willingness to learn.
- Able to travel and report to sites along the line during the 6-month training period.
