We are seeking a Lab IT Support Engineer to support Windows 11 upgrades, laboratory systems, and scientific instrument-connected environments in a biotech/research setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrades for laboratory workstations and instrument-connected systems.
- Provide technical support for scientific instruments, laboratory applications, and Windows-based environments.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and instrument connectivity issues.
- Support Windows Server, Active Directory, and laboratory infrastructure.
- Coordinate with scientists, laboratory staff, vendors, and IT teams to ensure successful system upgrades and ongoing support.
- Document technical activities, configurations, issues, and resolutions.
Required Skills:
- 3 years of IT support experience in laboratory, biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments.
- Experience with Windows 11 deployments and workstation migrations.
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Strong networking troubleshooting skills (DNS, ports, firewalls, connectivity).
- Experience supporting instrument-connected computers and laboratory systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer support skills.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting laboratory instruments and scientific applications (e.g., Unicorn, ChemDraw/ChemOffice).
- Familiarity with regulated laboratory environments and vendor coordination.
