About the Role
We are hiring for one of our clients in the construction materials industry. The Mobile Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment in field environments to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, haul trucks, and service vehicles
- Perform preventive maintenance (oil changes, filters, inspections)
- Respond to equipment breakdowns at job sites
- Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
- Operate and manage a service vehicle with tools and parts
- Follow all safety procedures and site protocols
- Promote a safe working environment and comply with health and environmental standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in heavy equipment or diesel mechanics
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Experience in field or shop repair environments
- Ability to work independently in remote locations
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Additional Requirements
- Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, in accordance with safety regulations
