Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Sr IT Engineer- Tanium Administrator to work on a contract basis. The role involves managing and optimizing Tanium infrastructure to support critical IT operations. Responsibilities include maintaining system health, implementing security policies, and troubleshooting performance issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and maintain Tanium endpoints, sensors, and packages across enterprise environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Tanium server performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Develop and enforce Tanium security policies to align with organizational compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Tanium with other IT management tools.
• Provide Tier 3 support for Tanium-related incidents and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience administering Tanium platforms in large-scale environments.
• Hands-on expertise in Tanium Endpoint Management, Tanium Threat Response, and Tanium Discover.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation tasks.
• Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems and troubleshooting methods.
• Experience with IT security frameworks, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection solutions.
• Familiarity with network protocols, firewalls, and endpoint security tools.
• Ability to analyze system logs, performance metrics, and security alerts for root cause identification.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on proactive system maintenance and improvement.
