Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Electrical & Automation Engineer to work on a contract basis. The electrical and automation engineer is responsible for plant process control system monitoring, application programming, testing, commissioning, and maintenance. Perform and coordinate electrical design and development of new equipment and the modification of existing electrical equipment consistent with plant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain plant process control systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Develop and implement application programs for automation systems, including testing and commissioning.
• Design and modify electrical equipment to improve plant performance metrics such as rate, availability, OEE, and MTBF.
• Provide technical support to process, maintenance, production, shipping, environmental, and quality departments using the PCS.
• Support the installation of new plant equipment from initial conception through to operational deployment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proficiency in plant process control systems and automation programming.
• Experience with electrical design and development for industrial equipment.
• Ability to improve plant performance metrics such as rate, availability, OEE, and MTBF.
• Technical support experience for multiple departments including process, maintenance, and production.
• Knowledge of commissioning and installation of new plant equipment.
