What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Quick 2 Hire?
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting physicians and healthcare teams by providing patient care and handling a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. Working within a medium-sized team of 4-7 members and reporting directly to a physician, this role ensures smooth clinical operations and excellent patient communication without any travel requirements.
13 Week Contract with the option to extend
Days: Shifts will vary between 7:45-4:45, 8:00-5:00, or 9:30-6:30
Responsibilities
Must have Urgent Care experience
- Must have Medical Assistant Exp. Electronic EMR. Basic Computer and Phone Skills. Peds-Adults. Urgent Care experience preferred- Front and Back office
- Front Office: Registration, Appointment scheduling, answering phones, sending Faxes, verifying insurance. Must be able to work at a fast pace.
- Back Office: Work with Urgent Care providers- taking Vitals, rooming patients, giving injections, wound care, setting up for minor procedures.
- Needs to be a good communicator with strong work ethics and team player.
Qualifications
- 2 years experience in medical assisting
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience with patient care, vital signs measurement, and administrative support
