What You Will Do
The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills:
- Work together with Design Engineering to provide solutions and processes to manufacture new generator as well as service by creating and issuing detailed work instructions to factory floor operations.
- Assist in training and development of hourly workforce both in processes performed as well as product function and CTQ elements.
- Hands on factory floor trouble shooting with hourly workforce including process development, failure analysis of service products, and product / process non-conformances and support internal and external customer technical conversations with process and product expertise.
- Design and procure tooling needed for stator assembly processes on service generators. Apply 3D CAD software, work with vendors, document tooling, drive improvement, and estimate process hours.
- Support efforts on development projects, 5S, CI, process and cycle-time reduction to improve stator operations and create the most efficient workflow solutions in the stator final assembly area and compile and lead manufacturing process reviews with shop floor personnel.
- Collaborate on facility upgrades and tooling development. Decrease costs, improve manufacturing, analyze quality issues.
- Provide timely resolution of product, process and equipment problems in the form of short- and long-term solutions and understand root cause to implement CAPA and avoid recurrence.
- Identify scopes to be offshore and coordinate workload for the global team
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or engineering discipline or manufacturing equivalent with 3 years hands on experience in manufacturing related field
- Working knowledge of various manufacturing processes including metal joining / brazing and tooling common to hand skill areas.
- History of working well with others in a collaborative environment.
- Mathematical and Mechanical Proficiency
- 3D modeling experience with NX or Mastercam software desirable

Work Requirements: This position is located in Charlotte, NC
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Salary : $66,000 - $75,000
