The Senior Professional Engineer will lead complex geotechnical and materials projects, mentor junior staff, and help deliver innovative, high-quality engineering solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee geotechnical engineering investigations, materials testing programs, and foundation recommendations for a variety of civil and structural projects.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including scope development, proposal preparation, budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
- Review and sign off on engineering analyses, reports, and design recommendations to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Serve as a technical expert and mentor, providing guidance and training to staff engineers, field technicians, and project managers.
- Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to provide practical solutions during design, construction, and troubleshooting phases.
- Conduct field visits as needed to observe testing, soil borings, or construction activities and ensure project conformance.
- Contribute to business development by maintaining strong client relationships and supporting proposals and presentations.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering.
- 7 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, materials testing, or related consulting work.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and review technical reports, interpret subsurface data, and provide foundation and pavement design recommendations.
- Strong understanding of soil mechanics, earthwork, foundation systems, slope stability, and groundwater behavior.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills.
- Experience managing teams and mentoring junior engineers.
- Proficiency with relevant software (e.g., gINT, AutoCAD, SLOPE/W, LPILE, or similar tools) preferred.
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
