Quantum Systems Inc. is a global leader in aerial intelligence and autonomous, AI-powered aerial robotics. We design, develop, manufacture and deliver eVTOL Unmanned Aircraft Systems UAS and an ecosystem of related products and services. Our business directly addresses the Defense and Security markets in North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America. We currently have an opening for a Solutions Engineer. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.
The Solutions Engineer supports the development and implementation of technical solutions. This role works closely with the wider engineering team, product and program teams, and directly with end-users to understand their requirements and implement solutions in our family of robotic systems. The position requires both broad technical knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively internally and with customers.
Responsibilities
- Integrate new payloads, sensors, and software functionalities into Quantum Systems products to meet customer-specific needs.
- Conceive, prototype build, and test electrical and mechanical subsystems and mounting structures within UAV systems.
- Prepare and execute bench and flight tests of new systems and new HW/SW integrations on existing systems.
- Analyze flight data recordings and process test results.
- Define requirements, UI/UX, and technical implementation strategy alongside the broader product and engineering teams to ensure that the customer’s needs are met while maintaining a coherent and polished product line.
- Define and document work, build, and operating instructions for new products and integrations.
- Lead Technical Interchange Meetings with customers, capture their requirements, then define and oversee the execution of quick-turn work packages in support of the project.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 6 years of experience in Unmanned Aircraft Systems design and development.
- Strong electrical technician and mechanical design skills to support rapid prototyping.
- Strong understanding of UAS flight control principles.
- Strong understanding of computer networking.
- Strong understanding of UAS and CUAS system architectures generally.
- Background check/U.S. citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
