Quantum Systems Inc. is a global leader in aerial intelligence and autonomous, AI-powered aerial robotics. We design, develop, manufacture and deliver eVTOL Unmanned Aircraft Systems UAS and an ecosystem of related products and services. Our business directly addresses the Defense and Security markets in North America, Asia Pacific and Latin America. We currently have an opening for a Supply Chain Manager. This position will report to the Director of Operations and lead the Supply Chain team.
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing key areas such as material planning, scheduling, and procurement activities to support our U.S. Government customer requirements while meeting company objectives. They will develop and improve processes and provide direct support to the leadership team by providing data analytics, planning, and reporting to support the mission and values of the organization. This role requires a high level of collaboration with internal teams, subsidiaries, and external vendors to maintain Operational Excellence and vendor relations.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes strategies for sourcing products, including identifying and qualifying potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities, and managing the procurement process
- Manages and oversees suppliers to ensure they meet our supplier selection criteria, performance expectations and contractual obligations
- Creates, issues, and manages purchase orders from NetSuite ERP system
- Develops working relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their sourcing and contracting needs
- Works closely with Engineering, Business Development, Programs, Quality, and Operations to create schedules based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and work cross-functionally to resolve any supplier issues or material availability gaps to meeting MRP
- Reviews bids from potential suppliers of goods and services making purchase decisions based on price, quality, and other factors. Use expert negotiation skills for complex contract terms.
- Develops a streamlined internal and external ordering system
- Works within systems to develop inventory tracking to monitor minimums and maximums established by manufacturing activities
- Contributes to ensure ERP system inventory accuracy
- Manages inventory levels to meet demand, while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory
- Works with Operations team to ensure order processing is accurately consuming component material for work orders and assembly item/final products for sales order fulfillment
- Develops policies and procedures for implementing purchasing procedures and methods within the company
- Maintains accurate data analysis, up-to-date costs and other financial data needed
- Flow-down Compliance: Interpret prime contract terms and conditions and effectively flow down mandatory government clauses to suppliers at all tiers
- Compliance & Regulatory Management: Ensure strict adherence to FAR/DFARS regulations, DCMA audit requirements
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Develops and maintains KPI tracking and program metrics to monitor and improve performance
- As a leader, manage and mentor Buyers to develop the Supply Chain team
- Provides high level of communication internally and externally to support the business
Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of experience in a management or leadership role, specific to supply chain/purchasing required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain management, or other related discipline preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). NetSuite experience is a plus
- Experience building purchasing systems and processes
- Strong data analytical skills to review trends, inventory, costs, and project purchasing timelines to ensure materials are available based on demands
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high growth environment
- Experience in Aerospace and Defense and operating within an AS9100 certified environment
- Proven, in-depth knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations and government procurement auditing procedures.
- Background check required/US Citizenship required due to government contracts
Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
