You will own a broad range of human resources responsibilities across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and policy administration. As a trusted resource to both employees and leaders, the HR Generalist partners cross-functionally to provide guidance, resolve workplace issues, and contribute to initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, culture, and employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and programs, ensuring timely and accurate guidance.
- Administrate performance management processes, including coordinating evaluations, advising managers and assisting with disciplinary actions.
- Implement and facilitate new hire orientation and support ongoing training and development initiatives to enhance employee capabilities and engagement needs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist in developing, implementation, and communication of HR policies, and best practices.
- Administer Workers’ Compensation cases, including coordinating with employees, managers, third-party administrators, and recommend solutions.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs that support professional development and organizational goals.
- Support payroll processing and timekeeping systems as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes, systems and overall employee experience.
- Prepare and analyze HR reports, ensuring data accuracy and supporting organizational reporting needs.
- Conduct and support internal, external, regulatory audits, to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and control standards, while identifying and mitigating compliance risks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Five years of Human Resources experience as a generalist or similar role
- Experience using Workday
- Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices, including California labor laws
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Professional HR certification such as (SHRM-CP, PHR)
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Maintain high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Adapts effectively to changing priorities and organizational needs
- Upholds Strong ethical standards and integrity
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- This position’s work mode is 100% onsite. The employee will report to our facility in San Diego, CA five days a week.
- Salary Range: $88,000 - $127,000 annual salary
