We are seeking a Junior Microsoft Developer to support application development for a state government organization. This role will assist with designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications built on the Microsoft platform.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using ASP.NET, C#, and VB.NET.
- Assist with the design and development of distributed systems.
- Write, test, debug, and document application code.
- Develop and support graphical user interfaces.
- Work with relational databases, including SQL Server and Oracle.
- Write and maintain SQL queries and database objects.
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot application issues and support system improvements.
- Collaborate with developers, business users, and technical teams.
Qualifications
- Experience or coursework in C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, or related Microsoft technologies.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with SQL Server or Oracle.
- Basic knowledge of application design, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Internship, academic, or professional software development experience.
- Familiarity with version control and the software development lifecycle.
