PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Physical Security Agent (Armed) is responsible for ensuring the physical safety of Quanta facilities and employees, and safeguarding high value computer components from theft and espionage.

The Physical Security Agent (Armed) is responsible for ensuring the physical safety of Quanta facilities and employees, and safeguarding high value computer components from theft and espionage.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Control and monitor surveillance equipment.
- Monitor access points, permitting entry per security badge policy, direct heavy traffic during start and end of business hours.
- Tactfully refuse access to anyone without the proper credentials; work with HR and/or IT to confirm access and/or explain rules to those not properly credentialed.
- Patrol property on foot, ensuring personnel, assets, buildings, gates, and fence perimeter are secure in all weather conditions.
- Perform building and equipment inspections.
- Investigate and take appropriate action as authorized by Quanta Policy on incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, and fire incidents.
- Complete daily and/or hourly reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage and signatures.
- Check all doors, windows, and exits, depending on shift. Maintain and utilize handgun with the highest degree of safety; utilizing ONLY when absolutely necessary per Quanta guidelines and training.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years’ successful, proven experience
- Proficient in computers, and aptitude to learn new software systems.
- Experience with security equipment and surveillance systems.
- Certification in First Aid, CPR/BLS and self-defense, preferred.
- Law enforcement or military experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group and resolve ambiguous situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including production staff and C-Suite.
- Ability to be a team player and work efficiently under minimal supervision.
- Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.

- Ability to speak, read and write English; bi-lingual in Spanish or any other language preferred.
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
- Clarity of vision including ability to distinguish colors.

- Occasionally lift/move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Work in a typical manufacturing environment with warm/cold temperatures and loud noises.
- Ability to travel between buildings within a 10-mile radius.
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings
