We are currently seeking candidates for the following position!
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
System Analyst will use MS SQL to support the proprietary shop floor control system (QMS) for Production and/or Service Business through maintenance, troubleshooting, set up and system changes.
To design and code reports at the Organization and Customer level to measure SLA’s and for performance evaluation and tracking.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide user training and documentation for the internal system and SAP system.
- Communicate with the Service Shop floor, process engineering and other related departments regarding the internal system and SAP issues and enhancements.
- Troubleshoot the internal system and SAP issues and provide workaround and permanent solution.
- Automate the upload of new BOM’s, BOM changes to the QMS system.
- Create and edit the internal system and SAP programs to fit users’ requirements
- Gather user requirements, perform gap analysis data and create solutions.
- Understand the process flow and recommend solutions.
- Conduct weekly meetings related to ‘the internal system and SAP Requirements’ with Service Operations and maintain Action Item List.
- Interact with peers in other Quanta entities to incorporate best practices.
- Perform maintenance on the shop floor server and database.
- Troubleshoot issues with the hardware and shop floor software.
- Identify and prioritize projects for efficiency improvements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
- Minimum one (1) to three (3) years of related experience preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience with SAP and shop floor control system.
- Previous experience with database maintenance on a Microsoft SQL server
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Basic understanding of Windows Visual Basic
- Computer literate in a Windows Environment; Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Internet.
- Knowledge of TCPIP and networking
- Familiarity with network devices
- Report Design and generation using MS SSRS / Power BI.
- Detail oriented.
