What are the responsibilities and job description for the Repair Tech position at Quanta Manufacturing Nashville, LLC?
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for repairing and testing servers per instructions of the Production Techs and WIKI, ensuring product quality; document issues and report potential quality related problems as instructed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Disassembles and/or reassembles units according to the applicable work instructions.
· Inspect components for proper seating and/or damage.
· If necessary, order parts utilizing DMR tool.
· Document and communicate component issues (defects, damage, missing components, etc.) to Test via forms, emails and/or process resolution.
· Enter repair data into the QMS shop floor system.
· Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
· Participate in and follow 5S program.
· Other duties as assigned by management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
· Six (6) months to one (1) year technical repair experience in a related field.
· Six (6) months to one (1) year experience in testing of electro-mechanical assemblies.
· Ability to distinguish different computer components, i.e. CPU, DIMM, Cabling, etc.
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Ability to identify potential quality related problems quickly and accurately.
· Computer literate in a Windows Environment; Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Internet.
· Detail oriented.
· Analytical abilities.
· Good organizational skills.
· Must be self-motivated with ability to use own initiative.
· Flexibility to change direction frequently with little notice.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to distinguish colors
· Ability to stand for prolonged periods on concrete floors.
· Ability to stoop, bend, squat, reach overhead, climb ladders, grip, manipulate small items with fingers.
· Ability to wear hearing protection.
· Environment is a temperature controlled standard production/warehouse facility;
