What are the responsibilities and job description for the Materials Clerk Scheduler position at Quanta Manufacturing Nashville, LLC?
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To provide support to the Materials organization in the areas of purchasing, planning, and forecasting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for W/O management, forecast review, and material requests
- Drives improvements to the W/O & Part Request process.
- Supports daily build plan and material shortage review identifying part shortages requiring material transfers.
- Responsible for generation of material planning reports in excel (Material and Production Control, Work Order Shortage, Shipment status for critical shortage, etc.)
- Responsible for the timely and accurate input of data to maintain SAP order delivery dates.
- Creates reports and directly engages suppliers in management and reconciliation of incoming material shipments to support production.
- Other activities as assigned/requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- ERP System experience, SAP is a significant advantage.
- 1 (one) to 2 (two) years’ experience in a materials or warehouse department.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- An analytical mindset, logical thought process, detail oriented individual with strong problem solving skills and mathematical abilities
- Aptitude to work with excel files
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact in a professional manner
- Proficiency in MS Office software – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Able to sit at desk and use/view computer for prolonged periods of time, up to 8 hours daily.
- Able to speak into and use a telephone for prolonged periods, up to 8 hours daily.
- Able to work in warehouse environment with no central heat or air.
