The Director of Business Development assumes responsibility for creating and maintaining an effective sales program for Quandel. Business development activities include ensuring that continuity of contact and company relationships are created and maintained with corporate and public decision-makers, architects, developers, realtors, bankers, and associations. This role will expand J. Vinton Schafer's reach through expert discovery and exploration of new and available business opportunities and relationships. Our ideal candidate must have the ability to work well with other team members and provide a sense of ownership and commitment to constantly improve our business practices. This position requires professionalism with a positive attitude.

What You Will Do
- Manage both our existing sales pipeline and develop new business opportunities.
- Generate new leads, primarily in our Energy Solutions and market.
- Identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select prospects that are in line with corporate growth strategies, and lead and facilitate pitch logistics.
- Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new businesses to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships.
- Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources.
- Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets.
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in marketing or business development
- Proven history of sales and relationship management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented setting
- Good time management skills
- Experience with prospecting and lead generation
- Previous experience with professional services business development – preferably in the AEC field
- Experience with CRM software
- Ability to deliver strategize and deliver effective proposals and presentations
- Prior exposure to a variety of construction delivery methods
- Provide quality leadership, a sense of ownership, and commitment to constantly improve our business practices
- A focus on teamwork – continually listen, collaborate, and communicate among colleagues, customers, and partners
