Quandel Enterprises is looking for a Director of Safety to join our team in Harrisburg, PA! The Director of Safety serves as a key member of Quandel’s executive leadership team and provides strategic oversight for all safety and risk management functions across the Enterprise. This position is responsible for driving a proactive, solutions-focused safety culture that ensures compliance, consistency, and continuous improvement across all operating companies and job sites. The Director will lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide safety initiatives, policies, and training programs while aligning with Quandel’s core values and commitment to operational excellence.
The Director of Safety provides direction and collaboration to divisional and company-level safety representatives, serving as the enterprise resource for all matters related to safety, risk, and compliance. This leader partners closely with Operations, HR, and Project Leadership to ensure that safety practices are fully integrated into day-to-day operations and long-term business planning.

What You Will Do
Safety Leadership & Culture
- Champion Quandel’s safety vision, objectives, and strategies across the Enterprise.
- Foster a culture of accountability, prevention, and engagement at all levels.
- Empower safety representatives to implement programs that reinforce company goals and compliance standards.
- Coordinate and monitor jobsite inspections, safety audits, and investigations.
- Support field teams with preconstruction safety planning and incident response.
- Ensure visibility and accessibility across all project locations and business units.
- Maintain all safety manuals, programs, and procedures in alignment with OSHA and industry standards.
- Develop and oversee enterprise training programs, including OSHA, CPR, and First Aid.
- Ensure consistency in compliance practices while allowing flexibility for project-specific needs.
- Lead accident and incident investigations, corrective action follow-up, and OSHA inspection responses.
- Oversee risk analysis, Workers’ Compensation management, and emergency preparedness programs.
- Track, analyze, and report safety performance metrics and key indicators to executive leadership.
What You Bring:
- 7–10 years of experience leading safety programs for multi-division construction firms.
- Deep, construction-specific knowledge of OSHA requirements, ANSI processes, and federal/state regulations.
- CSP, CHST, ASP, or equivalent certification; HAZWOPER and First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Familiarity with digital safety management tools (e.g., Procore Safety, Predictive Solutions).
- Proven ability to build programs at scale in a multi-division environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience in mid-market construction firms ($250M–$500M revenue).
- Track record of culture-building in family- or founder-led organizations.
- Emergency preparedness program design expertise.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
