Lead Driver – Relocation Services | $23–$28/hr + Tips

Take the Lead From Pickup to Delivery

Quality Services Moving is looking for a dependable Lead Driver to help manage the day-to-day execution of residential and commercial relocation projects throughout the area.

This position combines professional driving, hands-on moving, customer service, and field leadership. You’ll be responsible for the company truck, help direct the moving crew, communicate with customers, and make sure each job stays organized from the initial pickup through final delivery.

What You’ll Do

• Operate company straight trucks on local and regional relocation assignments
• Serve as the lead point of contact for the crew while on the job
• Coordinate loading, transportation, and unloading of household and commercial goods
• Help determine the most efficient way to organize the truck and complete each move
• Assign tasks and keep the crew focused, productive, and safe
• Communicate professionally with customers throughout the relocation
• Handle customer concerns and resolve routine issues in the field
• Maintain communication with dispatch and operations regarding job progress
• Inspect the vehicle and equipment before and after assignments
• Complete required paperwork, delivery documentation, and job records
• Ensure furniture and personal property are handled, protected, and transported properly
• Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable DOT standards

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who can be trusted to take responsibility when they’re out in the field.

You should be:

• At least 18 years old
• A licensed U.S. driver with a clean driving record
• Able to meet applicable DOT requirements
• Comfortable driving a straight truck — CDL is not required
• Physically capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Dependable and comfortable working full moving days
• Confident communicating with customers, coworkers, and management
• Comfortable giving direction and keeping a team on task
• Professional, organized, and solution-oriented
• Able to work in a physically demanding environment and changing weather conditions
• Able to pass required background and drug screening

Experience That Can Transfer

You may be a strong fit if you’ve worked in:

• Moving or relocation
• Delivery or transportation
• Box truck or straight truck driving
• Warehouse or logistics
• Construction or installation
• Crew leadership or supervision
• Customer service
• General labor or other hands-on team environments

You don't need years of moving experience to succeed here. We provide paid training and teach you our equipment, procedures, and standards.
