Position Summary

Quality Response Medical Staffing (QRMS) is seeking two qualified Medical Laboratory Technologists (MLS/MT) for a healthcare facility in Memphis, Tennessee.

The ideal candidates will have strong clinical laboratory experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to perform accurate diagnostic testing in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

This is a W-2 contract assignment. QRMS will serve as the employer and handle payroll and employment matters. Placement is contingent upon contract award, successful credentialing, and facility approval.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing and analysis of patient specimens.
• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory procedures following established protocols.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Perform quality control testing and document results accurately.
• Identify and troubleshoot testing discrepancies and equipment issues.
• Review and report laboratory results in accordance with facility procedures.
• Follow laboratory safety, infection control, and specimen-handling protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation in laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Communicate professionally with laboratory supervisors, healthcare providers, and other staff.
• Participate in rotating weekend and holiday coverage as assigned.
• Perform additional duties consistent with the position.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related qualifying field required.
• Current ASCP or AMT Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist certification required.
• Current Tennessee medical laboratory personnel license required, unless an applicable exemption is confirmed by the facility.
• Must currently reside within 75 miles of Memphis, Tennessee.
• Clinical laboratory testing knowledge and proficiency.
• Strong understanding of laboratory quality control and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment and maintain accurate records.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and facility credentialing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory.
• Experience using laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Familiarity with automated laboratory analyzers and quality assurance procedures.

Employment and Credentialing Requirements

• Current professional certification documentation.
• Current Tennessee laboratory license documentation, if applicable.
• Education verification through an official transcript or approved verification source.
• Three completed professional references.
• Signed employment or assignment agreement.
