Mechanical Welding Quality Control (QC) Inspector

Job Description

Quality “Plus” Services, Inc. (QPS) is seeking a Mechanical Welding Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our team. This position ensures that all welding activities on our industrial and heavy construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Pay & Schedule:

• $36.00 per hour
• 10-hour workdays
• $130.00 per diem (per day worked)
  
  

Responsibilities include:

• Inspecting welds (visual and NDT) to verify compliance with AWS, ASME, and project specifications
• Reviewing WPS/PQRs, drawings, and project documents
• Monitoring welding procedures, equipment calibration, and welder qualifications
• Preparing inspection reports and maintaining project QC documentation
• Coordinating with project teams, engineers, and client representatives on quality issues
  
  

Qualifications:

• CWI/CSWIP or equivalent certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of welding codes (AWS, ASME, API, etc.)
• Previous QC/QA experience in industrial or heavy construction projects
• Ability to read drawings and technical documentation
• Commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork
