Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and floor care to ensure a spotless environment.
• Handle laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and guest clothing with precision and care.
• Use cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, buffers, and chemical sprayers safely and effectively to uphold sanitation standards.
• Apply chemical agents following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines for cleaning solutions to ensure safe handling and environmental responsibility.
• Perform janitorial tasks such as floor cleaning, sanitation of bathrooms, replenishing supplies, and maintaining public areas.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure safety for guests and staff at all times.
• Manage heavy lifting tasks related to laundry loads or cleaning equipment with proper manual handling techniques.
• Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest requests or inquiries related to cleanliness or amenities.

Requirements

• Previous hotel housekeeping or custodial experience is highly preferred; familiarity with hotel housekeeping management is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices, including sanitation standards and chemical handling procedures.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads comfortably.
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards across all areas.
• Good communication skills and a friendly attitude that enhances customer service interactions.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical agents used in cleaning.
• Experience in hospitality or janitorial roles that demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic is desirable.
