Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Conduct repairs involving welding, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and general mechanical tasks using schematics and technical manuals.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and optimize automated systems within manufacturing processes.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults and resolve issues efficiently.
- Lead small teams or supervise maintenance projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed and work is completed on time.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Support facilities maintenance including residential painting, cleaning, and minor construction projects to enhance property appearance and functionality.
- Read schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose problems accurately and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver excellent customer service by addressing maintenance requests promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or manufacturing environments with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, PLC programming, welding techniques, and the use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints effectively.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance roles is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintenance history.
- Hands-on experience with residential painting or general construction is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters confidently.
