Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facilities equipment, HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing systems, and building interior components.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks to uphold building standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Assist with the installation, repair, and replacement of mechanical systems such as HVAC units and plumbing fixtures.
- Supervise or coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs or upgrades when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or building operations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and electrical equipment repair techniques.
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair as well as HVAC system troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters effectively.
- Experience with residential painting, maintenance painting, carpentry, welding, and general repairs.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintenance history.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to collaborate with team members and supervise or lead others when needed.
- Valid certifications or licenses related to electrical work, HVAC systems, plumbing, or welding are preferred but not mandatory.
