Head Housekeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee the housekeeping department in our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and custodial management, ensuring that our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage a team effectively while also being hands-on when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols to maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff, providing guidance on best practices in industrial cleaning and floor care.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules around events and guest needs.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Maintain records related to housekeeping operations, including staff performance and supply usage.

Skills

• Proven experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel setting.
• Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and floor care practices.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Exceptional leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with staff and guests.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends or holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.50 - $15.00 per hour
