What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Housekeeper position at Quality Inn and Suites?
Looking for someone who would like to join the team at Quality Inn & Suites Houghton where we take pride in lodging and hospitality.
The Executive housekeeper is responsible for directing and administering all housekeeping operations to ensure overall cleanliness and quality of the hotel guest rooms and common areas. This position includes the laundry department as well as communicating with maintenance, front desk and back office.
Job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure & maintain cleanliness, service and quality standards are met for guest rooms and public areas.
- Lead, direct and administer all housekeeping duties.
- Manage and monitor housekeepers.
- Interview and train new housekeepers
- create cleaning schedules and procedures
- Inspect guest rooms made ready by room attendants and confirm ready for guest check-in.
- Manage laundry
- Clean and prepare guest rooms if team member calls in and no one else can come in, weekends included. (as needed)
- Communicate with front desk to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Report maintenance issues to maintain upkeep.
- Ensure housekeeping and laundry supplies are ordered and maintained.
- Enforce proper logging and placement of lost and found items.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of public areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping.
- Strong leadership skills
- Organization and management skills.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to effectively handle conflict in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality service.
