Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of pool plumbing systems, ensuring proper operation of filters, pumps, valves, and circulation equipment.
- Conduct water chemistry balancing by testing chemical levels and adjusting water treatment chemicals to maintain safe and clear pool water.
- Troubleshoot and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical feeders using hand tools and power tools.
- Handle water treatment chemicals safely, following all safety protocols for chemical agent handling and storage.
- Maintain cleanliness of pool decks, surrounding areas, and aquatic facilities through regular cleaning and debris removal.
- Monitor outdoor work areas for safety hazards, perform repairs as needed, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Operate company vehicles for equipment transport or supply deliveries as required.
- Document maintenance activities, chemical treatments, repairs, and inspections accurately in logs or reports.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in pool plumbing systems and equipment troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in pool maintenance techniques including cleaning, chemistry balancing, and equipment repair.
- Knowledge of water treatment chemical handling and safety procedures.
- Hands-on experience with aquatic facilities or similar outdoor environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills to address guest inquiries or concerns professionally.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment efficiently.
- Previous service technician experience with a focus on outdoor or water-related facilities preferred.
- Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions with a proactive approach to safety.
