QES is seeking a skilled and motivated Survey Field Coordinator to oversee daily survey field operations and keep projects moving efficiently and safely. This role is ideal for an experienced survey professional who enjoys coordinating crews, solving field challenges, and serving as the vital link between the field and the office.
About the Role
As a Survey Field Coordinator, you'll plan, schedule, and support survey field crews while ensuring work is completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with project requirements and safety standards. You'll work closely with survey managers, project managers, and office staff to maintain seamless communication and workflow across projects.
What You'll Do
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule daily field survey activities
- Supervise and support field crews to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency
- Review field notes, data, and reports for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate field progress, needs, and challenges with project managers and office teams
- Manage, maintain, and ensure readiness of survey equipment
- Train and mentor field staff on best practices, safety, and technical standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical or logistical issues in the field
- Promote teamwork, integrity, and service excellence in all field operations
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required; surveying or geomatics education preferred
- 3–5 years of land surveying experience, including at least 1 year in a coordination or leadership role
- Strong understanding of survey procedures, equipment, and safety standards
- Proficiency with GPS, total stations, and data collectors
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites
