What You'll Do
As a CAD Technician at QES, you'll play a key role in delivering projects that serve clients and communities alike. You will:
- Create, edit, and maintain technical drawings and site plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Interpret field notes, survey data, sketches, and engineering markups
- Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, landscape architects, and project managers
- Maintain drawing standards and ensure documentation complies with company and client requirements
- Assist with submittals, permit packages, revisions, and project updates
- Stay current with CAD software tools and industry best practices
What You Bring
- Associate degree or certification in CAD Technology, drafting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of experience in civil engineering, surveying, or architectural drafting preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience highly desired
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and construction documents
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork skills
