QES is seeking a motivated Designer to support our engineering and landscape architecture teams through the development of accurate, well‑coordinated design drawings. What You'll Do
As a Designer at QES, you'll collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to bring ideas to life through precise and innovative design work. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and modifying technical drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Translating field data, design sketches, and markups into clear, accurate plans
- Revising drawings based on project feedback and evolving design requirements
- Ensuring designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and quality standards
- Assisting with permit submittals, specifications, and supporting documentation
- Maintaining organized project files and up‑to‑date design records
What You Bring
- Associate degree or certificate in Drafting, Design Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field
- 1–3 years of design or drafting experience (entry‑level candidates with strong technical skills encouraged to apply)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience is a plus
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches, notes, and field data
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
