Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications to define scope and requirements
- Coordinate with fabrication teams, detailers, field personnel, and general contractors to keep projects moving efficiently
- Develop and manage project schedules, tracking milestones and adjusting timelines as needed
- Oversee material procurement and tracking to ensure timely availability
- Monitor project budgets, control costs, and provide accurate forecasting updates
- Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations and internal safety standards
- Conduct site visits, lead coordination meetings, and address field issues such as fit-up and sequencing challenges
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Identify risks and proactively resolve issues related to fabrication, scheduling, and installation
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing structural steel fabrication and/or erection projects
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications
- Working knowledge of structural steel standards such as AWS and AISC
- Experience collaborating with fabrication shops, field crews, and subcontractors
- Proven ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling tools
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to problem-solve effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of jobsite safety practices and OSHA requirements
- Experience with Tekla Structures or Tekla PowerFab
