STUDENTS ONLY SUMMER HELP - Production Associate

Overview
Quaker Windows is one of the fastest growing companies in mid-Missouri. This manufacturing production position works as part of a production line team that fabricates and assembles window and door products for residential and commercial buildings. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with overtime/Saturday work available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Places parts in specified relationship to each other. Screws, seam seal, gaskets, glazes, or otherwise fastens parts together.
• Tends machines, such as drills, pneumatic seam sealer, crimping presses, or miter saws to perform fitting or fastening operations on production line.
• Works at different workstations as production needs require. Works on the line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line.
• Contributes to building a positive team spirit.
• Is consistently at work and on time.
• Follows instructions, ability to work as part of a team, responds to direction, commits to extra hours of work when necessary to reach goals, completes tasks on time.
• Monitors own work to ensure quality, and components are as ordered.
• Meets productivity standards; completes work in timely manner; strives to increase productivity.
• Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Other duties may be assigned as required by manager. No supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of Standard measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Education and/or Experience
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to climactic variations, to various levels of vibration, and occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
