What You’ll Do
- Manage bi-weekly payroll and ensure accuracy in timekeeping, deductions, and reporting.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, reconciliations, and communications.
- Coordinate Leave of Absence, FMLA, and emergency leave programs, ensuring compliance and care.
- Oversee Workers’ Compensation, unemployment claims, and other compliance reporting.
- Conduct I-9 and audit reviews to maintain federal and state compliance.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, supporting a positive and responsive HR experience.
- Support annual HR cycles including reviews, open enrollment, and benchmarking projects.
- Partner with the HR team on engagement initiatives, employee events, and special projects that strengthen our culture.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of HR experience with strong payroll, benefits, and compliance knowledge.
- Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (Paylocity or similar).
- Deep understanding of FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, and related regulations.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills—able to support employees with empathy and professionalism.
- Experience in hospitality, private club, or service-oriented industries preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) and/or SHRM or HRCI certification a plus.
- H-2B program knowledge highly valued.
