Lead Cable Technician
Alachua, FL
Pay From: $25.00 per hour
MUST:
Experienced Lead Cable Technician
Must have experience leading or managing a team
Must have extensive Rack Install experience and wiring.
Must have positive / go-getter attitude
Must have some exposure/experience with cable/telecom/ethernet field
Willing to assist the site lead with many tasks
Comfortable with working outdoors.
Ability to work in small spaces.
Ability to lift 40 Lbs.
Must have reliable transportation.
DUTIES:
Provide excellent customer service always.
Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various cabling infrastructure.
Pull, route, and terminate various types of cables, including coaxial, Ethernet, and fiber optic.
Perform site surveys to determine the best installation route and method.
Terminate RJ45 via CAT5E/6 in accordance with industry standards.
Ensuring all cables are neatly routed, dressed, and bundled.
Installation of cabling support components such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
Installation IT equipment such as routers, switches, cameras, wireless, etc...
Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational.
Troubleshoot device and or cabling issues.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all installations.
