MUST:
3 years of recent experience in an Emergency Room, Hospital Registration or multi provider medical office
Ability to work evenings and every other weekend
Ability to work with mobile computer in very high volume environment to register patients
Strong EMR documentation including collecting and verifying demographics and insurance
Verifying insurance and determining eligibility
Obtaining pre-certifications
Entering codes for procedures
Registering or checking patients in and applying financial information
Strong customer service support skills with empathetic personality
HS diploma or GED
Ability to handle translations for Spanish speaking patients
DUTIES:
Greet patients
Register patients utilizing mobile equipment
Collect patient's insurance and financial information for reimbursements
Enter and update demographic patient information
Determine insurance coverage
Obtain pre-authorizations
Assist with inquiries
Provide customer service support
Verify insurance
