MUST:
Experienced Federal Sales Development Manager
15 years federal sales experience
DOD, Civilian experience
Previous government acquisition or federal sales or capture experience
Ability to travel
Experience selling products/services to U.S. government agencies, requiring expertise in the procurement process
Strong understanding of FAR and GSA schedules
Ability in building relationships with agency buyers, responding to RFPs
Ability to create territory sales plans to meet revenue targets by securing and expanding federal contracts.
Strong prospecting, account management, negotiating, and presenting solutions to federal clients
BA/MA Degree desired, not required
DUTIES:
Business Development Manager will drive sales from lead generation to close, partnering closely with our government customers to accomplish their goals.
Identify leads, travel to conferences and industry days, shape opportunities, and successfully win contracts
Own the RFx engine end-to-end (RFI/RFP/RFQ): lead pursuit kickoff, build compliant outlines & schedules, run color-team reviews, coordinate inputs across Sales, SEs, Product, Legal, and Execs, and deliver on-time, high-quality submissions
Partner with Mission Operations to shape winning solutions: scope use cases, craft demo narratives, tailor prototypes, and answer technical/requirements matrices; lead the technical/commercial side of the sales cycle as needed
Drive capture planning for target opportunities stakeholder mapping, competitor analysis, teaming strategy, call plans, and pre-RFP shaping to improve Pwin and pipeline quality
Preference for previous government acquisition or federal sales or capture experience.0
