With strong national reach and proven operational delivery, we are seeking a Director of Business Development to drive strategic growth and expand relationships with enterprise clients.
The Role
The Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities across Facility Management (FM) and Project Management (PM) services.
This is a senior growth role focused on national accounts and multi-site commercial clients requiring maintenance programs, facility refreshes, and large-scale rollout projects.
You will play a key role in revenue growth, industry representation, and strategic marketing alignment while building long-term relationships with high-value clients.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth
- Develop and manage a robust business development pipeline targeting national multi-site clients across retail, healthcare, banking, and similar sectors.
- Identify opportunities for facility maintenance programs, remodels, and nationwide rollout projects.
Sales & Client Development
- Lead high-level sales presentations to C-suite executives, facility directors, and procurement leaders.
- Demonstrate ROI, project efficiency, and compliance standards to win long-term partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts while identifying opportunities for cross-selling additional services.
Marketing & Industry Presence
- Design and support integrated marketing initiatives including digital campaigns, social media, case studies, and thought leadership content.
- Represent the organization at major industry events and conferences such as Connex, SPECS, and RFMA.
- Coordinate trade show presence, networking activities, and post-event lead follow-up.
Market Intelligence
- Track trends in the facility management and project management industries, including competitor pricing and emerging service needs.
- Provide insights that help shape service offerings and growth strategy.
Collaboration & Digital Strategy
- Work closely with internal teams and marketing partners to ensure messaging accurately reflects field capabilities.
- Contribute strategic input for website content, digital campaigns, and lead-generation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in B2B sales or business development within:
- Facility Management
- Construction Project Management
- Multi-site commercial services
- Strong understanding of retail operations, commercial facility maintenance, and multi-location project rollouts.
- Proven ability to build and manage high-revenue national accounts.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce or Apollo.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for client meetings and industry events.
