- Perform thorough cleaning of rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Sanitize surfaces and high-touch areas in accordance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards to ensure safety and hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, or carpet cleaning as needed
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and disinfectants to ensure availability for staff and visitors
- Follow environmental services protocols to dispose of waste properly and manage hazardous materials safely
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance or sanitation issues and report them promptly
- Adhere to all safety guidelines related to janitorial and custodial work, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to cleaning and sanitation practices
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or environmental services within healthcare or hospitality settings
- Strong understanding of janitorial procedures including floor care, surface disinfection, and waste disposal
- Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on sanitation and hygiene compliance
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout shifts
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues promptly
