SUMMARY: Receives, stores packages, and issues component inventory for the manufacturing operation and outside processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs all duties and responsibilities stated below in accordance with documented procedures and work list.
- Counts or weight counts all incoming parts from suppliers to verify/record receipt of items.
- Prepares components for outside processing.
- Kit components to satisfy production work orders.
- Delivers kitted components to specific manufacturing work centers.
- Reconciles returned parts from manufacturing and logs any variance.
- Returns parts to specific stocking locations.
- Maintains stocking areas for accessibility and organization.
- Tracks miscellaneous stock issues.
- Provide ongoing input to supervisor/management of potential improvements.
- Package product as specified in written instructions.
- Notify Supervisor immediately upon discovering non-conforming product.
- Participates in cycle counts, mid-year and year end inventory.
- Additional tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Ability to work with small parts.
- Ability to use counting scales.
- Must be well organized.
- Basic computer skills.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years related experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good command of the English language is required, as well as ability to communicate (written and verbal) with all levels of the Company.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: High School level math proficiency.
