Q Center is looking for a Part-Time IT Technician to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY
The IT Technician (Level 1) is responsible for providing first-level technical support for Q Center’s technology systems to ensure reliable and efficient daily operations. This role focuses on troubleshooting basic hardware, software, and network issues, supporting end users, and maintaining guest-facing systems such as Wi-Fi, POS, and workstation devices. The IT Technician works closely with the team to escalate complex issues and support ongoing system maintenance.
Starting rate for this position is $24.00/hour.
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 0–2 years of IT support, help desk, or customer-facing technical experience
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook)
- Familiarity with Active Directory (user account setup, password resets, permissions)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi connectivity, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
- Experience supporting POS systems, guest Wi-Fi, or hospitality systems is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Flexible schedule; evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required
- Medium work – ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally and move IT equipment

Fundamental Requirements
- Provide first-level technical support to associates and guests in a timely and courteous manner
- Maintain professional working relationships with all departments
- Respond to service requests, incidents, and support tickets
Core Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices)
- Provide support for guest-facing technology, including Wi-Fi access and basic connectivity assistance
- Assist with point-of-sale (POS) systems and front desk systems as directed
- Set up and deploy workstations, peripherals, and user devices
- Perform password resets and basic account management in Active Directory or similar systems
- Escalate complex issues to the team or vendors as needed
- Assist with system updates, patches, and routine maintenance tasks
- Maintain and organize IT equipment inventory
- Support audio/visual equipment setup for meetings and events
- Document issues, resolutions, and procedures in the ticketing system
Support & Operations
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding tasks (account setup, equipment provisioning)
- Ensure all work areas and IT equipment are clean, organized, and operational
- Follow established IT policies, procedures, and security practices
- Help monitor system performance and report issues to senior IT staff
- Support backup and recovery processes under supervision
