Front Desk Agent/Night Auditor
BASIC FUNCTION
As Night Auditor, you will assist guests with their overnight requests and balance accounts from the day shift.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to: Hotel Operations Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check in guests, answer phones and take reservations
- Respond to guest complaints, requests, and emergencies
- Perform Night Audit per Hilton program.
- Reconcile accounts
- Balance Daily Income Journal. Ensure all ledgers balance.
- Balance the cash drawer and log receipts
- Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts on Daily Income Journal.
- Keep accurate financial records and ledgers
- Help prepare for forecasts and audits
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Experience with accounting and facilities management software
- Excellent math skills
- An eye for detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service skills
- The ability to multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work overnight
- BSc in accounting, finance, or relevant field
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Heavy work, ability to move up to 10 lbs.
- Standing and walking for long periods of time.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
- Loud noise levels (Dishwasher)
- This position occasionally has outside activities, therefore, has exposure to weather conditions.
