Peer Support Specialist (Part Time)

At Pyramid Healthcare in Radford we specialize in Substance Use Disorder Treatment. Pyramid Healthcare Inc. has been in operations since 1999 and currently operate over 80 programs in 8 different states, offering a full continuum of high-quality behavioral health care for individuals suffering from substance use disorders, mental health concerns, and other behavioral health issues. • Address:6226 University Park Drive, Radford, VA
• Hourly Rate: $15-20/hour (based on experience and education)
• Schedule: Part Time 16-24 hours per week, with weekend scheduling
• REQUIRED: Registered Peer Support Specialist certification through the Virginia Board of Counseling at the Department of Health Professions
  
  

Job Duties/responsibilities

• Provide peer support services utilizing lived experience to support client recovery and engagement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment team members and/or community partners to support client care and recovery planning.
• Assist clients in establishing connections with community resources and ongoing support systems.
• Maintain regular contact with referral sources as directed.
• Prepare and complete concurrent reviews and communications with referral sources as assigned.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of all client and collateral contacts in the medical record.
• Participate in peer record review processes and quality assurance activities.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with staff across all disciplines.
• Keep supervisor informed of client progress, concerns, and service needs.
• Provide transportation for clients to access community-based resources and services as needed.
• Participate in emergency service coverage as assigned, including after-hours support, crisis planning, hospital diversion, and commitment procedures.
• Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information
• Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Education/Experience: Required:

• REQUIRED: Registered Peer Support Specialist certificate through the Virginia Board of Counseling at the Department of Health Professions or in the process of obtaining one
• Preferred: associates degree within a professional Human Services discipline.
