Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, orient, train, and schedule transportation staff, ensuring adequate coverage.
- Supervise drivers, modeling safe driving practices and adherence to Pyramid Healthcare standards.
- Respond to transportation inquiries and emergency situations as needed.
- Maintain and complete all required departmental reports and documentation.
- Determine efficient routes and ensure driver availability to meet program needs.
- Attend meetings and participate in training and development activities.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Familiarity with basic auto repairs.
- Knowledge of CARF standards and compliance requirements.
- Ability to plan routes efficiently and manage transportation logistics.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in transportation supervision or related field preferred but not required.
- Team player with strong communication skills, professionalism, and commitment to safety.
- Demonstrates leadership, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; effective interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to problem-solve independently and collaboratively, showing initiative.
- Calm, decisive, and flexible in crisis situations.
- Maintains consistency, fairness, and ethical decision-making in interactions with clients, staff, and the public.
- Supports a team environment, continuous improvement, and organizational goals.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as necessary.
- Ability to travel weekly between Concord and Freedom, NC locations.
